Putting the fun into baby clothes
Creating a distinct brand for a baby bib and clothes company with a strong reputation but in need of a stronger brand. We helped our client represent themselves in a brand which matched their product and allowed them to protect their USP more clearly.
It is important that the logo itself can be rendered well on stitched labels of the clothes. Whilst the logo appears on one side of the label, George the giraffe, the brand mascot, appears on the reverse of the label.
The key mascot for the brand was George the Giraffe and along with creating his character we also created his family, dad Geoffrey, mum Gill and sister Georgina. In the Funky Giraffe world, George goes on adventures which look fun and bright. This supportive language helps bring the brand to life online and within customer materials such as vouchers, emails and promotions. We have designed for different gifting opportunities and key celebratory times of the year.
George has even featured on some of the bib designs and on every bib label.

Many graphics have been designed to feature on the website, on vouchers, on packaging and marketing all with a consistent Funky Giraffe flavour.
As the business grew the client needed to brand themselves in a completely trademarked identity in the USA and thus needed us to develop a brand name protectable in this more letigious market.
We designed and supported manufacture of many seasons of baby bibs and body suits. In addition we have designed country specific sets for Australia, Spain, Italy, France and the UK. Over 200 designs have been produced so far.
We have developed a number of packaging and display solutions from a single bib hanger, to a full set of clothes hanger and a box packaging for sets of 5 bibs. Each features the distinct Funky Giraffe brand language and bold graphics as well as clever folding and connecting solutions which eliminated the needs for glueing and thereby kept the prodution costs lower.
We have created a complete range of bodies and bibs for Autumn Winter season and supported the launch with exhibition design and packaging design.
