Creating a online presence to match the quality of the physical site

Following a rebranding process for Greenwich Market which highlighted its heritage, Fit Creative then worked with us to improve and develop our online presence. Our new responsive site, the first for a market in London, celebrates the shopping experience we have to offer as well as our long and rich history. The navigation makes moving around the site very easy and has been very well received by visitors and tenants alike. Many of our visitors are foreign so navigation is very important. The site has a contemporary feel so important in the retail sector, whilst retaining a personality fitting to our much cherished market. The process was well managed and the end product is a great success. The team at Fit are always on hand to help with our marketing needs.

Refreshed brand

Along with a new logo for the Market, the website needed to communicate a freshness and lightness to the overall look and feel. We commissioned illustrations to represent the variety of products available in the Market and surrounding shops. Illustration was chosen as it naturally references the craftsmanship in the trades. 

Buzzing destination

It was important that the homepage of the website allowed all the activities and uniqueness of the Market to shine through. The CMS allows the client to control featuring events, shops, stalls, news and more. 

The CMS also allowed the client to easily update the changing line-up of stalls whilst satisfying their various tenants with an improved online presence.

Online shopping experience

The website was structured to navigated by the type of shopping the viewer is looking for – market stalls, shops or food and drink, and allows news and highlights to be featured.  

Fully responsive website

The website has been designed to be a great experience on whatever platform you are viewing from, and built as a fully responsive website it meets Google's current requirements.
