Work Visit Greenwich

Creating a distinct destination for Greenwich

Working with the new tourism destination company established by Greenwich Council we have developed the brand and marketing materials. Visit Greenwich was launched in 2014.

Brand identity

We worked closely with the client to identify the key assets and most recognisable elements of Greenwich's heritage and culture including the home of time, artillery history, river connections, royal patronage and in recent times an arena for major musical artists. These were incorporated into a distinctive typographic logo.

A new strapline 'time after time' both links to the most well known reason people visit Greenwich – to stand on the Meridian line, and to celebrate how each time you visit to Greenwich you can experience something new and fantastic.

"Working with Fit Creative to create a brand that would satisfy the many Greenwich partners was a real challenge, but one which they rose to and delivered with great success. The Visitor Guide perfectly captures our offer and does a comprehensive job in selling our attractions. Feedback via our Tourist information Centre has been very positive and sales have been very good."

Visitors guides

Since the launch of the new destination company Visit Greenwich we have designed and produced their visitor guides and map leaflets. These have steadily progressed and been refreshed based on visitor feedback.

Map leaflet

A 24 panel fold out leaflet reveals a large map with key attractions highlighted, it also features information on different iteneraries, where to eat, drink, shop and be entertained.

London destination

We created a destination leaflet to be distributed all over London at major train stations and hotels promoting Greenwich as an essential part of a visit to London. A distinct illustrated map of Greenwich highlights the many sights and events to be experienced.

Cruise marketing material

With a new cruise line pier and supporting facilities for leisure and retail opening at Greenwich Peninsula in 2018 there is a need to promote to the industry the new and unique opportunity into London via the Thames. We have worked with Visit Greenwich to support them in reaching these audiences and demonstrate the combination of heritage and contemporary experiences available in one place.

Employment programme Workzone

A new employment initiative from Visit Greenwich for residents of the Royal Borough of Greenwich to promote careers in tourism, leisure and entertainment. The programme includes workshops and mentoring. We created the sub-brand for Visit Greenwich with bold visual language. We directed and produced a number of videos and the supporting marketing materials.

Merchandise

Derivative of the brand identity, a range of Greenwich merchandise has been illustrated to incorporate icons for the various attractions and experiences at Greenwich. A strong Meridian Line runs through the middle of the illustration and bold colours make it eye catching and appealing. Mugs, teatowels, fridge magnets are amongst the first raft of merchandise with further items coming in different colourways.
