A PCR report highlighting the inequality of prostate cancer for Black men

New research has identified a dangerous medical increase for Black men in the likelyhood of developing prostate cancer, and a ground-breaking new survey has highlighted the gap in healthcare services. This new report from PCR presents this information and PCR's six initiatives to support and represent Black men.

We worked closely with our client to create the structure of the report and present the information in the most striking and clear way. The front cover image featuring two different generations of Black men was selected to both engage and challenge the reader.

A bold information style was used to create impactful spreads that communicated the urgency to the need for change.

PCR commissioned a unique survey was commissioned to hear from Black men and their families within the UK and to verify what PCR suspected was the case – a gap in healthcare for Black men, despite their increased likelyhood (x2.5) of developing prostate cancer. The survey results were represented in bold and clear information graphics that helped express the issues felt by Black men in our community towards getting suitable healthcare treatment.

PCR's unique approach to funding research is demonstrated with the aim to make their USP clear to new potential partners.

A fold-out middle section presents the six strands of PCR activities with the impact targets they are aiming for, as well as a CTA to engage with more partners. This simple single view spread allows for the staff to simply explain the needs and the opportunity within one-to-one meetings.

A spread was dedicated to each activity area, again condensing a large amount of content into an easy-to-read cohesive layout.
