Work Severndroog Castle trail

Creating a walk in the woods with signage and leaflet

Severndroog Castle recognised that the woods around the grounds offer a great family walk without being overly difficult. The client wished to engage with more visitors to share its history by creating a packaged trail they could follow. We created a walk, signage to mark it out and a leaflet to guide visitors around.

Signage

We worked with the client to establish the trail and identify where sign posts needed to be installed to make the path clearly indicated. Manufactured from the same materials as used by London Underground signage we produced markers to be installed on the posts, identifying the walk name and pointing the direction to users.

Trail leaflet

A fold-down, pocket leaflet was created to direct people around the walk and highlight things they will see on the way.

The leaflet opens out to show the full trail with directions and a section for younger visitors to complete by identifying what was seen during the walk.

The leaflet also showcases Severndroog Castle and the history of the woods. It discusses conservation and the role we can all play in it, as well as finishing with other walks that can also be enjoyed.

Photography

We produced all the photography featured in the leaflet and created the montage image on the cover and throughout.
