Greenwich Learns

Creating a one-stop shop website demonstrating the full range of adult learning available in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, with ongoing website maintenance.

Following an initial tender process, we have worked with Greenwich Council since 2018 to communicate their adult learning offer online and through film. We established the first single-point website providing a comprehensive guide to available learning and an inspirational springboard for adults looking to start, develop, and progress. Through successive support contracts, we have continued to develop the site’s functionality and content in line with student needs, and regularly film student stories as inspirational case studies. We work closely with the Adult Skills and Community Learning team and their training partners to continuously improve and grow the website.

Creating an accessible brand

We created a bright, colourful and symbol driven-brand and brand language which can easily be expanded on and applied to the variety of learning offers available. The new look was applied consistently across the website and supporting printed directory and marketing materials.

Design and build of the digital gateway

The first website to represent council's adult learning service within the Royal Borough of Greenwich – a fully responsive website, covering the key facets of course offerings, costs, locations and training providers. Over a number of developments, we have evolved the structure to focus on four main learning aims: retrain for work, upskill life skills, grow a business, or enrich personal development. We continue to refine the learner journey online and maintain the website to ensure it is fit for modern browsers and meets accessibility standards.

Student ambassadors

Understanding that learners can often be anxious about coming back to education, we have developed the student stories element of the website to include short vox-pop snippets and more meaty 10-minute-long interviews. Seeing the impact that adult learning has had on someone's life can promote confidence in other learners and inspire them to start their journey. We work with each student on their script, record their story, and then fully edit the final film with graphics, music and subtitles.
