Brand development and website redesign and rebuild for a specialist construction training company in Greenwich, London.

Flower Skills is a long-established construction training specialist whose public profile didn't reflect the quality of their service. Having met the family owners through our work with Greenwich Council, they invited us to improve their brand and website. Working closely with the owners, we developed a more engaging brand identity while honouring the heritage of the name, providing the foundation for a full website redesign and rebuild. We continue to work with the team today, supporting their evolving communications needs and ongoing website development.

Developed brand look and feel

A refreshed identity retained the founding name 'Flower Skills' but solved some of the issues around its communication and digital needs as well as creating a strong identity in the sector.

The hexagon featured as a strong brand element across the website design, as well as forming part of the logo. This helped to create a distinctive and dynamic-looking website. 

In addition, we copywrote the new strapline ‘Build a future in construction’ to be more active and ambitious, presenting the benefits of training with Flower Skills.

Website

We worked closely with the client's whole team to identify their offer and restructure the website. As the key sales tool, the breadth of services needed to be clear from the landing page and through the navigation.

We created a new website built with a new CMS and designed with a refreshed brand, improved navigation, new photography of training in action and improved copywriting. 

Photography

Construction is a very visual topic. We appreciated from the outset that new imagery would be needed to demonstrate the services and bring much-needed visual engagement to the new website. We conducted a number of photoshoots within the workshop spaces. The imagery created was used on the new website. 

In addition, we conducted a training workshop for the in-house team to show them how to take their own photography in order to update content on their new website using the CMS and to build their social media profile.
