The Goldsmiths’ Centre
Promoting a unique centre for craftsmanship in the centre of London.
Built in 2012 and funded by the Goldsmiths' Company, the Goldsmiths’ Centre is a multi-use destination established to support the contemporary jewellery and silversmithing industries in the UK. Since its creation it has grown substantially, with ambitious aims to become a destination of choice for industry training, craft discovery and purchase, and a thriving community of creative businesses. Through a long and close working relationship with the team, we have been proud to support the Centre across brand design and marketing materials, helping to promote its full and growing range of activities.

Brand positioning and development
Over our years working with the team, we have achieved two iterations of brand development, each time helping to improve clarity of communications and distinction in their brand. Supporting their strategic work, we continue to work today on key positioning items such as the brand pillars film on the website.
“Having worked with Fit Creative previously, it was an obvious choice to ask them to support us in developing the Goldsmiths’ Centre brand. Following a creative pitch, they have brought both clarity and creativity to our brand, allowing us to achieve standout and brand stretch in a clever system. They have proved their namesake yet again with a solution fit for purpose.”

Reporting impact
Monitoring and clearly stating the outcomes the Centre is creating within its community and the wider silversmithing and jewellery industry is essential to demonstrating the impact of its input.
At the 5-year anniversary, we supported with a celebratory report and event.
At the 10-year anniversary, we worked to record testimonial films and report on achievements both quantitively and qualitatively.
“Working with Fit Creative is always a rewarding and collaborative experience. From the very start of each project, Kara and Jonathan take the time to truly understand our charity’s mission, our audiences, and the unique role the Goldsmiths’ Centre plays within the jewellery and silversmithing community. Their strategic and creative approach to visual storytelling brings clarity and cohesion to every piece of work - whether it’s our annual impact report, e-commerce website, or most recent brand refresh. They help us communicate our identity with confidence and consistency across all platforms. We truly value our ongoing partnership and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for thoughtful, impactful design.”

Industry marketing
Core the centre's foundation is the training of new Foundation students, on-going technical and skills training and creating a resource centre for the allied trades industry.
We have supported to develop the sub-brand of the Foundation Programme as a key activity within the Centre. We also created the suite of leaflets promoting the different training levels available.
We designed the Supplier Directory sub-brand as a new online resource service.
We established the membership network with a brand look and feel which is themed on creative connections.
What's on marketing
For many years we designed and produced the events literature and digital promotions for the Centre.
Venue hire
A key contributor to income of the charity, venue hire needs marketing to maximise its value. We have worked with the client to develop a suite of literature to promote the distinct spaces for hire leading with the award winning architecture and appealing to creative senses with the crafts trade being trained on site.
Signage
Creating a sense of destination through the signage, our designs help to both identify the building and create a strong visual message. New entrance vinyls were designed and implemented. Further internal signage was designed to be in keeping with the architectural essence and help navigate the complex building layout.
